The organic cotton is acknowledged "EKO Sustainable Textile Standards" by Control Union Certifications.

HEMP - NATURALLY ECOLOGICAL

o Amazingly comfortable, breathable and cool to the touch
o The strongest natural fiber, naturally antimicrobial and resistant to UV
o The cultivation of hemp does not require any toxic pesticides
o Hemp binds carbon dioxide, a C4 -plant

Fiber hemp has been cultivated for more than 10,000 years and it is the first plant cultivated for textiles. It is amazingly comfortable, breathable and cool to the touch. Hemp is the strongest natural fiber, naturally antimicrobial and resistant to UV.

Hemp does not require much of its environment. Cultivating hemp does not impoverish the soil, but rather strengthens the nutritional balance of the soil and the diversity of the surrounding nature. Due to its strong odor hemp is resistant to pests and grows too bushy to permit weed growth so it needs no pesticides or herbicides, in fact no chemicals of any kind.

Carbon dioxide on its part accelerates global warming. Hemp is a so called C4 -plant which means that it binds twice as much carbon dioxide as a regular plant. Cultivating hemp helps us in the fight against global warming.

Many different subspecies of hemp are found in nature. In some refined subspecies the production of intoxicating tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been increased. Only 0.3% is the allowable THC content limit for cultivation of hemp according to European Union legislation. Many subspecies of fiber hemp contain only 0.05% of THC. In other words, fiber hemp is not intoxicating.

ORGANIC COTTON - SOFT AND NON TOXIC

o Soft, comfortable and breathable
o Organic cotton is grown without chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers
o Smaller water consumption compared to conventional cotton

Of all the natural fibers used in the world 75% is cotton. This is to say that it is not insignificant what kind of cotton we use. Organic cotton has been grown without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. It is healthier for cotton farm workers, better for nature and wonderfully soft and natural to use. It also has everything you look for in fine cotton; it is soft, comfortable, breathable and washable.

Conventional cotton cultivation uses plenty of synthetic fertilizers that impoverish the earth and pollute groundwater. Organic cotton is cultivated without the use of any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Organic cotton cultivation aims at achieving a balance with nature by using nature's own fertilizers and defense mechanisms. Consequently it improves the working conditions of the cultivators. Organic cotton is safer to the cotton field workers as well as to the consumers.

Organic cotton is said to be three times as durable as conventional cotton, because during the production process the fibers of organic cotton are not treated as strongly as of the conventional cotton. Choosing organic cotton makes a real difference to your impact on the Earth.
