• Formex Stockholm will launch a new concept ’Finland Selected by Formex’. This new concept will promote and take a closer look at Nordic design. First to be featured is Finland and the results will be shown in an exhibition. The ‘Selected by Formex’ exhibition displays around 50 objects, including Fuusio from Fokus Fabrik, that represent alternative, young, innovative Finland. The exhibition will be opened on August 27 - 30 in Stockholm Sweden.

• Eesti Kunstiakadeemia will present the Disainiturg (Design Market) at the streets of Old Town Tallinn on July 17 - 19. It will be held on Harju Street, Kuninga Street and on the Harju Hill. The Disainiturg is a curated selling market, with products from Estonian and Finnish established designers.

• During the summer Lahti: BIENNALE presents industrial design in the shop windows in Aleksanterinkatu and Rautatienkatu, Lahti. Lahti: BIENNALE gathers leading finnish designers and companies who uses design as a creative resource and a booster of competitiveness. Lahti: BIENNALE is open June 29 – July 30. • Fokus Fabrik Collection has won a 2008 GOOD DESIGN Award. GOOD DESIGN remains the oldest and most important Awards Program worldwide. Founded in 1950, the esteemed GOOD DESIGN program was founded by Edgar J. Kaufmann Jr. with the participation of some of most important designers: Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, George Nelson and Florence Knoll - the pioneering greats of modern design. • Fokus Fabrik's fabrics are presented at the Finnish Housing Fair (Asuntomessut) in the house called 'Vaasan meri' (No11). This year the fair is held in Vaasa and the theme of the fair is socially and ecologically sustainable housing.

• HARDCORE New Finnish Design will showcase 20 individual design projects and concepts including Fokus Fabrik's fabrics. The HARDCORE exhibition combines a curated selection of innovative concepts and projects realized by designers and design companies from Finland. • The new organic interior fabrics will be launched at the 'Salone Internazionale del Mobile - Salone Satellite' in Milan. The interior fabrics for home and contracting are made from organic cotton and hemp. The exhibition will take place on April 16 - 21 at the Milan Fairgrounds. See you at the Hall 28, stand B-17!

• Fokus Fabrik builds up their home on the Esplanadi's Stage on September 7 - 9. The four designers of Fokus Fabrik move to Esplanadi's Stage for 3 days and 3 nights in September. In the morning breakfast at the café just across the street, then work until the time for meeting up with friends and cooking dinner together. Welcome to visit our home in the middle of the city.

• 'DisainiÖÖ' in Tallinn Old Town. A warm atmosphere has been created. Visitors can try/touch/view/test fabric and textiles. Various beds, also improvised. Suggestive music, the singing of birds and spa-slippers create different feelings and associations. Invited guest Fokus Fabrik from Finland, the theme of urbanism combined with nature.

• Combining vintage textiles and Fokus Fabrik´s patterns. On april we're working with the recycled textiles. We've found a great treasure in a Granny's attic - a huge amount of great textiles with the funky prints. We played with out contemporary patterns and the vintage curtains and bed linen changed in to a hippy interior textiles at the Post Museum Helsinki April 20 - August 26.

• 'Finland Café' in Tokyo. Fokus Fabrik takes part Finland Café that introduces the highlights of the Finnish design ant the culture during the Tokyo Design Week. Café in open from November 1 -December 2 at Ark Mori Building 2F, 1-12-32, Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

• 'De Finnishing touch' in Antwerpen. Fokus Fabrk participate 'De Finnishing touch' -exhibition at the Europa Direct Antwerpen, Lombardenwest 23, Antwerpen, Belgium. The exhibition will be open from October 18 till December 8.

• The exhibition in the middle of Helsinki. Join us at the Espa Stage - a tiny stage in the middle of Helsinki - on September 15 -17. The products will be launched in the surroundings that presents our design philosophy - a modern combination os urban citylife and serene nature.
